Library to offer 'Keep It Safe' program
Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host the program "Keep It Safe: Your Rights as a Consumer," presented by Woodforest National Bank, as part of the FDIC's Money Smart Program. The event is to be 6:30 p.m. July 20 in Frost Kalnow Room.
Part of a new series at the library, the program is to teach participants how to guard against identity theft, about how to plan for unexpected death or disability, how to be prepared for disasters and about different types of insurance, including federal deposit insurance.

Make a bracelet
The teen department at Tiffin-Seneca Public Library continues its summer reading program, "You Are Here," with another program July 19.
The event, "Create a Candy Wrapper Bracelet," is to be 2-3 p.m. in Frost Kalnow Room. Participants can go anytime during the hour to learn how to fold and make candy wrapper bracelets. Participants can use any rectangular wrapper such as gum, Starburst, Tootsie Roll, Now and Later or Dum Dum wrappers.
The program is open to students entering sixth grade through grade 12 and is free.
Library to host game night
Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host "World Games Night" to close the Junior Library's summer reading program, "One World, Many Stories!"
For those who completed side one of the reading record, children can drop by anytime between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. July 21. The free program is to feature Silly Tillie the Clown, and children are to play world games, win prizes and have an ice cream treat.
Drums heading to library
Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host "West African Drums" as part of the Junior Library's summer reading program, "One World, Many Stories!"
Hosted by West African drummer, Sogbety Diomande, children are to learn about drums, rhythms, dances and songs of West Africa. The program is to be in Adult Reading Room at 2 p.m. Thursday. The free program is for people ages 5 and older.
Fostoria hospital to host women's cancer support group
FOSTORIA - Friends Helping Friends Cope, a women's cancer survivor support group, is to meet 6-7 p.m. July 19 at Fostoria Community Hospital. This group is free and open to the public.
Friends Helping Friends Cope was developed as an extended support service for women who have survived any form of cancer, as well as their family members and interested public.
